Shanni earned her master’s degree in clinical social work at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. She is fluent in two Chinese languages, Mandarin and Cantonese.
She is currently training at The New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Her approach in her work is to provide a safe, supportive and understanding environment for clients to explore their fears and obstacles to that get in the way of having fuller and richer lives. Shanni has psychodynamic training, which means she helps her clients explore their conflicts related to their past and learn how it can be affecting their present.
Shanni has experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults including older adults.
